Each and every one of us working in the Chang-Noi Ministry thanks you. May our Great and Loving God grant you and your’s His blessings for this Christmas.
Around the world many people read and heard from various news reports of the big flood here in Thailand. We thank the Lord for His protection of Abba House and the Samutprakan area both of which lie in a flood zone! We continue to pray that many people currently suffering from the devastating destruction caused by the flood waters will experience God’s love and mercy through Christian help. Thank the Lord for Chang-Noi ministry and its continued vision of presenting Jesus Christ to the children of Samutprakan, and training them through a good education to be followers and disciples of Jesus Christ. ICS Christmas Shoeboxes
Praise the Lord! At this Christmas season, we were very excited to learn that students of the International Christian School (ICS) again this year, as they have done for so many years, have prepared Christmas Shoeboxes for Chang-Noi ministry. These Christmas shoeboxes are given to kids in many churches, communities, hospitals and this year especially to the children who suffer because of the flood.
When we went to pick up the shoeboxes, we were amazed to see so many shoeboxes! This year, the ICS students donated the largest number of shoeboxes since they began, a record number 950! Hallelujah!!! We know that God will bless each and every student and teacher whose heart of giving overflows this season. We pray that the many children who receive these gifts of love are richly blessed as well.
Bible Camp in the book of Act Last summer we had many kids who attended Bible camp where we taught the book of Luke. This year we will continue the teachings of Luke by studying Acts. One of our visions of the Chang-Noi Ministry is teaching children to walk in God’s way. That means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. The Bible camp is important time for CNM staff and kids to be together and study the Word of God and grow together as a family in the Body of Christ.
This past October we conducted a camp at the Promise Church, Samutprakan. Fifteen young people attended the camp for two days and one night. All activities at the camp focus on the book of Acts. From this camp, the kids learn the Word of God, how to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with another, and how to pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance throughout one’s daily life.
After camp we could see the Holy Spirit working in kids’ lives. Rung, a staff member, told me that a girl who attended camp began attending church. This girl who never before gave any attention to what she was being taught now is attentive and eager to learn what is being taught from the Bible. Praise the Lord! Thank you, Holy Spirit, for continually working in these kids’ lives. Mother’s Day Mother’s Day is one of our special days on the Chang-Noi calendar. This is the day we invite the children’s mothers to come and listen to the story of Jesus Christ. We also encourage the kids to give a “Welcome” card to each mother who attends program. Many mothers came to hear their kids sing praise songs and pray for their mothers. How beautiful it is to see these kids asking the Lord to help and bless their mothers!
In the program, we asked Mrs. Aumpai, a Promise Church’s Sunday school teacher, to preach of the love of God, and the role of a mother with her children according to the scriptures. At the end of program, kids gave flowers to their mothers to show their love and each gave his or her parent a special hug and kiss.
ABAC Team Thank you for the many visitors who come and share their love with the kids in Abba House. Among the many blessings we have received from the Lord are the many people who visit us and spend special time with the children.
Last July, A Team from ABAC University came to visit Abba House. Everyone was very happy to see them The children laughed, danced around and hugged the visitors. What a joy it was to witness such an occasion. We believe that one day these children will pay it forward and help others as they recall the special blessing they received from the kindness of others. Thank you Team ABAC!
