Sawasdee Pee Mhai (Happy New Year in Thai)

There were many blessing which God has given us through the year of 2009. We have learned to accept and give thanks to Him. We would like to thank every knee of prayer and every supporter. We all are on the same team who want to see God’s movement in this ministry, Right?

LEE’S HEALTH

It was a surprise to us when we knew Lee had a tumor in her body. She looked fine when she told us “I have a tumor.” We have been praying a miracle in Lee’s life. Abba's kids made a big postcard for Lee to show how much they love her and to remind her that she is loved here in Abba House. I remember one night I pray to my Abba and asked Him “Lord, how this happen to Lee?” the little voice blew into my mind, “For His glory” Yes, we have to give thanks to Him in EVERY situation because we know that He loves us so He sent His only son for us! “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deu.31:6)

ICS’ SHOEBOXES

Before Christmas, I got a phone call from Mary, who is a teacher at ICS to pick up Christmas shoe boxes. This year(2009) I was told that we might get only 300 Christmas shoe boxes. That was not enough for the 12 Christmas programs which we hold. God had a good plan for us. When I went to ICS, my brother, Khun Rung and I just picked up all shoe boxes. After we counted all shoe boxes, It was not 300 boxes, but almost 500 boxes, Praise the Lord! It was again a situation that God allowed us to be a blessing to other communities.

CHRISTMAS AT ABBA HOUSE

Another blessing came again when Abba House I and Abba House II were packed with kids and adults on Christmas day. The goal of the Christmas program is to share Jesus with them. And we did a good job. Kids and their parent came to hear the story of Jesus, who is the Son of God! Thank you International Community School, which gave us many Christmas shoe boxes, Lee for program planning and Chang-noi’s staff who made this Christmas program happen. It was a FUN FUN day, we could tell, when we saw them smile and laugh.

CHILDREN DAY IN A HOSPITAL

Every second Saturday of the new year is set to be Thai children's day. Many kids wait for this day so they can go to many museums which open for free. Many government places also allow kids to visit, even a white house. Many shopping malls have a kid’s program which kids can have fun and get some gifts. But at the same time, same day, some kids cannot go anyplace even if they want to go because they have to be in a hospital. How sad they are! Thank God who uses Chang-noi to be a blessing for these kids. We sang many songs, played a drama, shared the Gospel (Praise the Lord that in a government hospital here allows us to do this), and gave out Christmas gifts. I almost cried to see one girl who had been in an accident. She clapped her hands in the song “Jesus love me” and smiled, even though she has only one eye to see (other side got an injury from an accident.) I told myself. Yes, God put us here to give joy to this girl and kids. What a blessing to see happy kids in a hospital on Thai Children's Day. Thank God for this wonderful day, the day to give to others.

BACK TO SCHOOL AFTER NEW YEAR

It is a time for back to school again! The nursery school was open again on January 4th, 2010 after we had closed for Christmas and New Year seasons. There were about 5 kids on that day (another two kids have not come back yet.) Khun Rung did an excellent job on teaching them how God loves who they are, and how they can love Him and each other. Thanks for Lee, Khun Rin and Khun Rung for fulfilling the goal of this nursery, which is giving them Jesus Christ and education.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please remember us in your daily prayers. We cannot do this ministry without your support. As in this year(2010), we need a special answer from our Abba through our prayer:

1. For Lee’s health, we believe that Lee will come back to Thailand this year through His mercy.

2. For a new full time staff. This year we will get Leud, a seminary internship student, for a full time staff. Pray for him and for his salary support about $200 per month or $2400 per year. (link “how to danate”)

3. For two kids who really need a birth certificate, Benze and Jed. The government refuses to help them to get a birth certificate even though they were born in Thailand and their parent are Thai. But God will win out.

4. For new believers in Abba House. There are four kids who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord. The problem is their parents did not allow them to come to the church anymore after they knew that their children accepted Jesus. We need a lot of prayer for these four kids. Their names are Emma, Ton, Lew, and Plammy.

5. For Chang-noi staff, as you know, if Satan wants to destroy this ministry, the first goal is to attack staff. We need many prayer support for Chang-noi staff so this ministry can go on. Pray for Lee, Num, Rin, Rung, Leud, Fah,and Ari. Thank you for your support and have a happy and wonderful year of 2010.
